I know that I don’t allow my kids to play outside unsupervised, too many dangers today compared to when I was growing up. However, my children don’t have a bunch of fancy gadgets. They can use the family computer on our terms. Reply Kerry Ascione March 1, 2014 at 9:54 am | # I agree. So many kids today have way too much stuff! It isn’t healthy. I have chosen not to spoil my kids with stuff, but rather with global travel. They may not appreciate it as much, but that’s okay. The things they have gotten to see and experience will hopefully make them more open, accepting and tolerant people. A global education will also help them to work with people around the world when they enter the workforce. Seems sad to me. I don’t know how parents handle it.
